Winter In Coastal Maine

Some people may find it a bit desolate. There are many places where you can go for miles and not see a soul.

It's a place where rugged coastlines are the norm.

And where scenic views abound.

It's a place where you learn to develop a watchful eye.

And don a beautiful coat while you stand outside.

And every once in a while, you stop and visit with a special friend you meet on the side of the road.

And before you know it

you realize, once again, your heart has been stolen.

So pretty! They are calling for 12 to 24 inches of snow here. You rugged northerners are used to such things, we are not! But it does make for beautiful pictures, that is undeniable!

This and so many other things make me love Maine more and more. Beautiful photos. I really love the eagle. We saw one take a dive and almost hit oncoming traffic in Bangor last winter.

So sweet and fabulous - I enjoyed the jaunt without having to get frozen. Thanks

Pretty, pretty pics. The horse looks so sweet. You've got to love living there. Cold and cozy at the same time. Enjoy your weekend!
