Happiness Is Nurturing Your Seedy Side

My seed catalog is here!

This vibrant image on the back cover is just a tease for the exotic beauties waiting inside.

It doesn't even phase me a bit that my garden is still cloaked in her winter finery,

or, that the only green in my Terra cotta pot is lichen.

Life is very good. My seed catalog has arrived!

All the white stuff on the ground, it seems weird to talk of gardens. Maybe I'll plant something this year instead of just foraging weeds :-) mmm, almost time for dandelion greens & poke salad!

Always the first sign of spring - seed catalogs!

Every year there is a house on Congress Street near Stroudwater that has daffodils that appear the end of February. The earliest I've seen them there was Feb. 24th. The house is very close to the road and the sprouts are right against the house and get a lot of sun. They appear to be about 1-2 inches in height, but then they stay that way for quite a while. BUT it's a sure sign of spring.....
It's coming!!!
We've lucked out with the last 2 storms!!

Hi, I just wanted to thank you for your comment from months and months ago - I replied, but something happened to that, and I never got back to it - and thanks for reminding me to order my Johnny's!
