Cookie Cutter Pumpkins

I picked up a few pumpkins yesterday during our leaf peeping trip, and when it began to rain today, I got out some tools and fall inspired cookie cutters to see what I could come up with.

I always cut the bottom from the pumpkin before I scoop it out, because it's easier to place the pumpkin over a lit candle and avoid a burn. That tip may have been one from Martha, I think.

I used a hammer to pound my cookie cutters into the scooped out pumpkin, but I was not sure if they would pop out easy.

They did!

I just adore this beautiful twisty pumpkin stem.

A raku pendant I made earlier this year, resembles a jack-o-lantern, don't you think?

And with just a couple tealight candles, I have a glowing fall centerpiece for my table.

On this pumpkin, I used Henri's power drill to spell out the short version of Autumn. I must admit it was a lot easier than using the punch I had planned to use.

Now I really wish I had bought more pumpkins!
