Fearless Comes Home

Our last trip of the season out to Fearless.

These 3 crusty crustaceans were today's catch.

Time to take in the traps.

A passing lobsterboat as we head back to the dock.

Enjoying the last bit of autumn color on this beautiful Maine day.

Tied up back at the dock, we relax while waiting for the transport truck to come.

Transport truck arrives and Henri heads to the shore.

Backing into the driveway.

Back home, Fearless gets a quick bath.

Barely 4 months in the saltwater and this is what you'll get.

By nightfall she's looking a whole lot better.

Welcome home Fearless, it's good to have you back in the dooryard again.

Ahhh the end of the season. My dad fished in Alaska when I was a kid - I remember the end of the season well - the last fish - the great taste - the excitement, almost as exciting as the first day of the season - and a winter of planning projects and dreaming of the spring to come.
