Our first harvest of the season, some spinach and swiss chard.
Such an easy and healthy lunch wouldn't you say?
Oops, where did that come from?
Right in the middle of trying to be healthy.
(There's always room for a brownie.)
More green.
Simon had his own little salad too, just no brownie.
He is such a good role model.

ha ha love it. Of course there's a brownie in the middle of life all the time! It's what makes life full of spice.

As Don says - dessert is the most important meal of the day.

Hee hee! I love this post. Such a nutritious lunch and then a brownie snuck in there. But seriously, those salads look delicious. I wish I could pop over there to share one with you. (of course, I wouldn't say know to a wee brownie either!) And Simon is beautiful! What kind of bird is he?
Yummy! And Simon is sooo cute.
Yum, I could eat that (and the brownie too of course!)
It's all about balance, right???
Your food pictures always look very appealing.....not easy to pull off!
Simon IS a great role model. And handsome, to boot! Thanks for your sweet comments about my daughter's big trip this coming week. We leave Saturday and I'm up to my eyeballs in preparations. Hope your Maine summer is off to a wonderful start. If those greens are any indication, the weather must be great! xx Suzanne
Hi Lili! The main course looks really healthy.... we are trying very hard to give up the sweets. Now I've seen that delicious brownie, I'm not so sure! Thanks for the temptation and have a great weekend! Susan :)
That Simon - he is such a cutie pie! Love this funny little story! Thought you were on a healthy roll there for a while - but a girl has to have a brownie every day -oops - I mean every now and then!
You are too nice to me Lili - such sweet comments - you make me cry!

I got over here from Kate's blog.....who just vacationed up in Maine.
I too lived in Maine 30 years ago, in China, Me......and I have moments of longing for Maine...it's crazy.
I am spending the last week of August in Tenant's Harbor, and I can't even wait!!!
I am going to follow your blog, so I get to see a lot of Me!!
