Our youngest daughter Angie and our son-in-law Danny Mac were blessed with the arrival of this sweet little package on September 1. Our newest granddaughter Emerson (Emmy) Rose.
On 9/9/09, I happily celebrated my 55th birthday! Just take a look at how beautifully wrapped these birthday packages were. Our oldest daughter Jennifer harvested and dried some flowers from her garden, then used plain postal wrapping paper (from Walmart!) and tied them up with raffia. How creative she is!
Out in my garden this morning, I finally did something about the cilantro that had been flowering and has started to go to seed. With a few quick snips of my shears,
I had enough to fill up my glass wall pocket inside, which I think is the perfect spot for us to enjoy the last fading bits of this cilantro. What a wonderful fragrance it brings to our room.
While I was making the rounds outside, I found a crabapple tree ready for harvest and will be trying my hand at jelly making for the first time ever. Stay tuned for that. Ahhh more wonderful fragrance inside today!
By noon time, the basil, garlic and cherry tomato pizza I made, filled the entire kitchen with it's delicious aroma.
Yet, there's just one heavenly scent we're still longing to savor ... the scent of our sweet baby granddaughter that we have yet to see in person. There's just nothing else quite like it!
