Local Color

Here are a few things I noticed during our walk today.
A bright colored mussel dragger moored in the harbor . . .

A branch laying in the snow covered with
a soft green lichen known as "reindeer moss" . . .

A frayed piece of rope tangled up in dried seaweed . . .

More weathered rope, just steps away . . .

Yet another beautiful color of moss growing in a bold pattern. . .

Color to tide me over until the arrival of Spring . . .

Beautiful photos. Wish you could include the scents that came with this lovely walk. The combination of the water, cold, and trees and moss. I can almost imagine it. Thanks for sharing.

You always make me so homesick for Machias....soon, if the stars align just right!

Onedia...Thank you so much for posting a comment for me... I appreciate your reminder that a photo can only share a mere glimpse of what our senses can take in...glad you enjoyed visualizing it!
Queenie...Oh I can feel how much you long for it...it will be all the more sweeter to you when it happens! Stars, do your magic!
