Yesterday we made a trip to Stonington, Maine which is located about 1-1/2 hours away from us.
We had perfect weather and the temperature was about 75 degrees F.
There's a lot of ledge in Stonington.
A lobster boat coming into the harbor.
The water was sparkling.
And what a treat for me to come upon a pair of artists who allowed me to take their pictures.
I even recognized the name of one of them as he is a rather well known artist. Oh the luck to meet them both in person!
On the left is artist T. M. Nicholas, and on the right is artist Stefan Alexis
Pastuhov. It's so much fun living here in Maine. If you view the photo large, you may get a laugh at the name of the skiff
right there near them.

What a beautiful town, and don't you just love it when the sun dances on the water like tiny diamonds? The other morning when I got up the sun was shining just right on the water and it looked like the crown jewels spread out all along the surface!
And how lucky to meet not one but two wonderful painters! Have a great week!
Kat :)
{SIGH} What a gorgeous post about a gorgeous day! The town .... idyllic ....the view....heavenly....the artists...inspiring! We have a lot of lakes where we live, and I love all of the different moods that water and sky can relate. Perfect end to my day. Thanks, Lili! xx P&H
Wonderful town - wonderful photos - I really like it when the fairies dance on the water and make it so sparkly.
Interesting the two different versions of a similar view.
What a great day you had - the pictures are lovely. I love being anywhere near the water! So picturesque. Especially love the pictures of the artists - that is way cool. And yes, I did view the picture up close - LOL! (love the boat!)

That's IT! I'm moving to Maine!!! Paraise, you should rename it Paradise!!
Looks gorgeous - the day and the place. I can see why they're painting that view.
The name of the boat is too funny, got my laugh for sure!!
And "your" Stonington is as charming and picturesque as the Stonington I recently visited in Connecticut!
I have never been to Stonington but have now placed it on my list! What a wonderful day - and I love that you found artists!
