Color My World

Neon buoy paint. It's that time of year again to freshen up the lobster buoys in my favorite color combination. Hot pink and lime green are the colors I chose to register for my recreational lobster license. And just last year, they became Henri's colors too.

Henri's buoy colors used to be blaze orange and marine blue. But now his license is registered to use these colors as well. [It takes a real secure man to fish with pink buoys don't you think?]

Back inside, I spot my pink wool yarn that I just picked up a couple days ago.

And my best bud, Simon who's been with me now for 34 years.

I think I must have trained my eye to naturally look for these colors, now that I think about it. [Truth be told though, my real inspiration for picking out my buoy colors was from a popular brand of mascara.]

I love this! They do the same thing down here with crab pots, but I've never seen beautiful pink and green buoys attached to them!

You should paint your dinghy pink and green and name her Maybelline! How cool would that be? And wow Simon is only five years younger than me. I'll bet he skipped that whole big hair, neon leg warmer thing in the 80's though.

Smiles,
Lisa

That mascara was the first thing I thought of when I saw your colors. Funny how our minds work. At least you don't have to worry about anyone not knowing who they belong to.

You and your husband have too much fun . . Simon is a cutie . . he's sweet. Thirty-four years is a long time . . longer than Dave and I have been married thirty-one years. Have a good Wedneday Lili!

I love those colors together! Especially nice, probably, on the deep blue sea! Take a pic of that some day.

You can see why some people use buoys for decor too, to bring in some serious color!!

Love the colours - and smiled at the source of your inspiration. Whoever would have thought of that? Only a true artist like yourself.

WV 'deshing' - sounds like a posh Brit describing your buoys! "How very deshing dahling!"
