A Stop In Virginia

Look at the beautiful blooming redbuds! Something we don't get to see in Maine.

Soon it will be my time to drive when it gets dark. Because I have practice staying awake late at night because I blog. We just stopped at McD's for coffee and wireless.

Simon travels really well and keeps us entertained.

Just a few quick pics from the trip so far. Destination Charlotte.

I love those redbud trees - we used to see them in Wisconsin in the spring. None here - but we do have lots and lots of pink and white blossoming trees in the spring - from a hill the town looks like it has a pink mist. Enjoy the trip.

Hi Lili, Hope you two are having a good time. Here in California we see alot of trees blossoming, it's amazing what we take for granted when it's all around us. Stay awake and be safe tonight!

I love the Redbuds and they are so pretty this time of year! If you drove 95 through VA you weren't too far from me chica!

Hi Lili! We used to live in Indiana and then Charlottesville, Virginia and I always adored the Redbuds! It's too cold for them where we live, now, but I do remember them fondly. We planted one in Indy in honor of my daughter's first b-day. I'd love to go back someday and see if it has grown as tall and lovely as she has. Hope you have great weather for the drive. Simon looks like he's loving it! xx P&H

...red buds are very common here...in fact, their season is over already, but we have the bluebonnets and indian paintbrushes in full glory. later, when summer takes the heat up a notch (or 100 plus notches) we will have the crepe myrtles...have a great trip! xo, mickeey
