An Enchanted Winter

Hello and surprise!  Just popping in to share a few images with you as our landscape continues to fill up with snow.  I marvel at the sweetness of these tiny creatures fully exposed to our harsh winter elements.  Maybe it's their voracious appetite that gets them through.  Henri makes sure they are well fed.

My neighbor felt the need to apologize to me for still having her Christmas lights up just in case I thought it was a bit odd. I told her how the sight of it had already lured me outside on a 'below zero' evening just to get a photo of it.  It is still a lovely and most welcome sight from our window.

We have kept a foothpath open to my little shop across the street.

The sky sure had a beautiful glow from that direction the other evening.

Of course there is more snow on the way.  More plowing, shoveling and digging out will need to be done.

If you have found your way over here, I want you to know I am thankful for your visit.  I hope you too are happy with where you have chosen to spend your winter as well.  Maybe one day we will decide to become "snowbirds" you just never can tell.

Hello, my sweet friend. I don't think I could take the winters in Maine. Well, I could if I had an Henri ~

Maybe!

Love that you posted. See you in June!

Oh, my! Wonderful to see you! Gorgeous sky, sweet sparrow! Very much snow and frigid temps here in Syracuse NY as well. But we'll get through somehow, as always! Enjoy February!!

So good to see you - I've missed your blog. The photos are fabulous - what great color and love the little bird. We are happy with our rainy, mild winters - but I am amazed at how many people go to California or Arizona for the winter from our area. It is just a little rain. And you don't have to shovel it.

What lovely photos you have shared with us here, Lili. Your blog posts are certainly missed, so any new one you publish is always a welcome thing for me. New England scenery at any time of the year is beautiful... even all that snow. I just can't imagine how cold it must be. Keep warm, dear friend! Love, Lidia

Hello, sweet friend!
I was just commenting
on the little birds singing
their hearts out this morning,
despite a day that started
at -7 degrees. Their clock
tells them it's time to sing
and welcome "spring,"
even though we don't see
it, yet. Lovely pics, as
always!

We sure miss you out here in Las Vegas. You take amazing pics and Henri and you are so cute together. We love your artistic abilities and the way you come up with pretty little home made salads or desserts and make everything look so beautiful. Yes your blogs are deeply missed. Sure hope all has gone well for you both and that you're happy with what ever you do in the future.🌺
