Better As A Memory

After enjoying 3 seasons with our lobster boat Fearless, we made the decision to say goodbye to her. We sold her yesterday to a commercial lobsterman who will fish with her out of Gouldsboro Harbor.

So turn up your speakers and have a listen to my first ever video compiled from images I have taken over the past 3 seasons.   We remain truly humbled to have been given this opportunity and are so blessed to have been able to learn and experience all the joys and discoveries recreational lobstering on the coast of Maine can afford.

What? You sold Fearless? Well, now. (I'm just so surprised). How lucky you were to have the opportunity to lobster with her. Loved your sweet video here. Excellent photos. Gorgeous eagle, too!

Oh, No. This is very sad. AND how am I going to identify you to my husband? "You know, the folks in Sorrento with the lobster boat..."

Your movie is a great tribute to the life of lobstering and truly shows how your hearts and souls went into this venture. I'm sorry you had to let it go and look forward to seeing your next dream come to fruition.

It must have been hard ... it was hard for me when we sold our sailboat to move to Philly. But always have those great memories! Loved the video!

What a great video. Must be sad.
I so enjoyed the photos of your family visit. That one of you and hubby and your two girls is precious! It should be hanging in a photographers studio to show potential clients how perfect a family photo could be!
Sounds like you all had a wonderful time. Very nice.

That was a beautiful video. I know what it is to say goodbye to a boat. We had a sailboat tho. And while I didnt want to spend every weekend of my life on it, I did love being on it and still miss it.

Aw Lili, that's beautiful - rather sad, but lovely. I adored the soundtrack - who is that? I would love to download it from iTunes. The best bit for me is what it says on the stern of your boat: "Fearless, Sorrento, Me". It must be your motto? I guess Me means Maine but it's still really neat.

I guess everything has it's day, right? What will you do now?

Well..., this doesn't come as a surprise to me. Good for you! Hope it wasn't too hard for husb! I don't know what it is with my computer but I can't watch videos..., they stop all the time. Have to figure that one out at some point.

Oh, sad but beautiful. We sold our lobsterboat years ago and I still feel sad when I think about it. Lovely tribute though.

I am at the
library, so
will have a
listen at home.
Already know it
will be lovely.
They say the two
happiest days in
a boat owner's life
is the day she buys
it and the day she
sells it....Wonder
if this is true??
You had a good run
with The Fearless!

Lili - what a beautiful and incredible video! You certainly have some wonderful memories of this awesome boat. I am sure that selling the boat was bittersweet -0 but I totally understand that there is a LOT of work and expense in maintaining a boat and a hobby. Bless you both - I know it was hard to see her go~~

The video was absolutely amazing!

Well...I am wondering if you two went out and celebrated after the sale, or went home and cried... :-)
Every good thing in life has its Hard moments and its HIGH moments..
A good day's catch would seem like a high moment, and EATING some lobster broiled in butter...YUM...but then there is SOOOO much work involved with a boat...so I'm betting it was a bittersweet celebration...but a good day. Hugs to you. The video was outstanding and loved the music with it. GREAT JOB!!!! ON to a new season of adventure with something new and your loving man! Hugs to you Lili...**oh and PS..we were living right where we are now when we had the laying ladies...Our lot is just situated in our neighborhood so that we are secluded on all four sides and it was perfect for the set up - even in Suburban Charlotte. :-) :-)Hoping the next family will do it too!!!

I just came over from "Chronicles of a Country Girl" who I've been following for a little while now. She's headed to Maine and she mentioned your blog so I thought I'd pop over!

Your blog is lovely and I've enjoyed reading your posts. I hope you don't miss Fearless too much. You also have a beautiful family! What fun it must have been to have your daughters and their families visit! Your photos are just stunning!

We spend most of our free time at our cottage in Old Orchard and hope to venture a little further north this summer to Hancock, we have a good friend who has a camp on Donald's pond, and some other good friends in Whitneyville!

Please stop by for a visit if you have time. I love company and new friends are always welcome.
