Low tide today, down on our shore.
There are plenty of places to just sit and take in the scenery here.
Today, I discovered a sea lavender plant that I did not realize we even had.
No gym membership required with a job like this.
The gulls were all hanging out waiting for low tide too, lots of food for them here.
We are fortunate to have many blackberry plants along the path down to our shore.
Henri sure is a fast blackberry picker, but I can guarantee there are insects, twigs and over ripe ones in his bowl. My job will be to clean them up and sort them out. Of course I will be forced to eat all the over ripened ones too!

Unless it's empty because of that, yes -- an empty swing makes me happy.
Love viewing your photos of one of my favorite places. Great blackberries!
So glad you didn't fall out. I love the pictures of you swinging - you go girl!
Isn't it funny
how similar
the summers in
the Pac NW are
to those in Maine?
The blackberries
grow wild all over
my folk's property!
My dad cultivates
blueberries and
raspberries, as well.
LOVE your swing!!!
I haven't been able
to part with my kids'
swing set yet, mainly
because I still like
to use it : ) Your
man is very clever,
Lili! And YOU look
adorable on that swing.
Happy weekend!

Oh, this post made me smile and clap my hands! Beaches, berries and swings! Empty swings always make me want to plant my tush in them! I LOVE that picture of you swinging!
I like the photo of you swinging merrily along rather than the empty one. You just look so happy and carefree!!!!!!!!!
I am just blown away that this is your backyard! Wow!
And yes, may you ALWAYS feel young enough to swing. :-)
Have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Anne
Wheee! Lili, you rock. I bet Henri uses his rope-smarts to keep you on a leash, heehee! Do you have elderberries there? They should be about ripe also.
That is the best..., your own berries!! Those are expensive in the store here! I used to go so high on a swing as a kid..., and jump off it too.
Now I definitely want to come and live with you - your own swing among the trees - oh wow!
Very sweet. ~~ The berries and you in the swing!
Smiles,
Lisa
I have blackberries too but ....sadly the critters eat them fast and I never get any :(
I love swings too. What a great idea to have them, no matter your age.
So now I'm totally convinced you live in paradise!!!
I love swinging so much! I haven't done it in years and when I get to, I always say why don't I do it more? It's so freeing! You live in a surreal area. Wow...just beautiful! What are you going to make with the blackberries?
OH YES! A swing. What could be better???
And those berries, I'll take some for my cordials I am working on.
Happy week,

Aw! Your swing looks so inviting! And the blackberries look incredibly delicious! :)
Love the swing pictures - is that you wayyyy up high??? Wow - that looks kind of scary my friend!
Love the berry also - the Gardener is the berry picker here - I am the very picky, particular and very very slow cleaner of the berries. I wash them SEVERAL times. Can't stand the thought that a little bug might be in there - don't trust the Gardener to do that part!
