March in Maine

March is windy.

The extra light at the end of the day is most appreciated by all.

Here's what the moon looked like a couple days ago during our walk.  Even though I know it's a full one tonight, I think it's very beautiful at this stage too.

While driving along the shore we noticed this lobster boat and we stopped to capture a few shots.

Even though we were far away, we were spotted.  It's also very lonely here this time of year before the summer people return.

Taken today in Sorrento Harbor on our way back from the post office.

It was 57 degrees here today and I didn't want to miss the opportunity to mention it in contrast to the snowstorm we just had this past Monday.  March is surprising like that.

I thought of you today when a friend sent me an email saying I should go to Maine because she knew I would love it there. Little did she know that every time I see your beautiful photos I wish I "was" there!

Hi Lili, Beautiful pics as always. Its amazing how fast the weather can change. Bet you appreciate that. Fresh lobster must be so nice. What we have here in California i'm sure doesn't even compare. Blessings, Sandy:O)

we had snow this morning and by this afternoon it was 69 degrees and I flew open the windows to air out the house. Crazy weather! Beautiful birds, I can never seem to catch them quick enough. Enjoy the sunshine.

Oh yes! We are loving this little taste of summery warmth! I think spring really could be right around the corner!

Dear Lili, it is windy here in California too, but not cold. We are in desperate need of rain.

I haven't forgotten your prize, but I was slammed with work this week and haven't packed things up yet.

Soon...

Love,

Sharon

P.S. I should've mentioned how much I adore your photos. Honestly, that moon, the jay, so much to savor. You're amazing.

Hi Lili
These pictures are fantastic! I also scrolled down a bit to see what I've missed. Oh wow, I was overjoyed to see more lovely pictures of your part of Maine...

Wouldn't it be great if you could compile your photos in a book?

You take such great shots!

Enjoy the coming spring, dear friend!

Love

March truly is surprising like that. It's Friday and 54 here in Maryland. So you are warmer! Lovely in the sun though, isn't it?

My husband heard your video on your blog and said it sounded like my stomach growling. Not funny.

Yes...March is a very surprising month with Mother Nature fighting it out with Old Man Winter...we get to be the unwilling participants!! Guess whose corner I am standing in cheering on!!! ;-)
I just melted into your pics...don't know any other way to say it...The moon...beautiful...breathtaking photo. And the blue jay is so pretty...Usually they are screeching in your ear as you are viewing them and it deters a little from their awesome plumage, but in the photos....gorgeous!! I smiled when I saw the boat-man waving for you...bet you did too. :-) Kind of like playing "I spy" isn't it!? ;-) Thanks for sharing the pretties Lili...I ALWAYS leave my visit with you with a smile on my face. {hugs}

Oh what lovely scenery - and what a lovely temperature. They promised us 59 degrees on Thursday but it decided to cloud up and drizzle and be only 52 - but it was a grand day anyway!

Love that seagull!
