A Carousel For My Nonpareils

With a little liquid gold leaf, I gave this lazy susan I found at a thrift store a quick Parisian makeover.

Since then I have been collecting glass stoppers and interesting lids to fit into glass bottles to use as a place to display my sprinkles. And I do love a French inspired theme.

So now I have taken to collecting sprinkles.

Wondrous and beautiful sprinkles like these sugar pearls and pink nonpareils.  Have you ever even seen pink nonpareils before?

Did you know sprinkles are relatively inexpensive?

Wouldn't these pink nonpareils look stunning on some dark chocolate?

All I had on hand tonight was some white chocolate morsels, so I made up a handful of candies for our after dinner snack.

Check out these vivid canary yellow nonpareils.  Who knew?   I hereby declare that sprinkles are my latest obsession!

It's such a happy obsession though, anyone care to join me?

  1. Who knew nonpareils would make such a lovely display! Each year at Christmastime my mom would use silver nonpareils to decorate sugar cookies, I've loved them ever since! Your chocolates are too pretty to eat!

  6. Sprinkles are something that I never would have thought to collect! What an idea, I love to bake and create and with a collection of sprinkles, just think what I could do! lol

I've seen large selections of sprinkles available at bulk food stores, I may have to check them out and find some cute little jars to put them in.

  8. Beautiful - some of them look like pearls. Your bottles are lovely, especially that last one - looks like expensive scent.

  9. It all looks
    beautiful with
    the LILI Touch!
    My mom used to
    use the silver
    ones {she called
    them dragees} but
    I was scared to
    eat them and break
    a tooth! They are
    gorgeous, though.
    Fun collection!

  11. I'm not sure I need a new obsession, but if I look at those pictures one more time it will be too late. I had no idea they came in so many colors. What fun!

  12. Sweet white chocolate candy... they look fabulous. Maybe I could shape my white chocolate Lindor balls into sea creatures, just kidding of course. You certainly eat sweets in (coastal) style!!

  14. Hi Lili dear,

Last night as I was drifting off to dreamland I said aloud, "oh, I forgot to check on Fearless Nesting." Jeff thought that I was losing it until I explained this morning that I regularly check on you and of course, on Maine.

Love the lazy Susan. I've been looking for one to set on our kitchen table, but our house is faaaaar from French.

In the next week I want to post some before and after shots of our kitchen. Jeff has been working his fanny off on it. Right now he is patching and mudding the ceiling where he took out crummy lights. We found an old store light in Wisconsin and carted it home. Now have it hanging low over our long farm table. More later.

    Sending love across the miles,

  18. What a beautiful idea about displaying your sprinkles. I too, want to display sprinkles. LOL... How sweet they look. I am going to start collecting bottles for sprinkles...and display some and then when my grandkids visit, we can use the bagged sugar cookie mixes to make some quick sugar cookies and use some sprinkles. Thank you for such an awesome, sweet idea. My grandkids will love it Lili... what an inspiration!
