A Little Wave Action From Hurricane Earl

When we awoke this morning, the last remnants of Earl had already blown through leaving us with some much needed rain and the enjoyment of some wave action that lasted throughout the entire day. We headed over to Acadia National Park to capture some shots.

We weren't the only ones that had the same idea.

Besides the rain, Earl left us with no damage, blue skies,
rolling waves and a most welcome breath of fresh salt air!

  2. Nice!!

Those people down on the rocks are nuts. Remember last year? So dangerous.

    Glad Earl left y'all unscathed.

  4. Beautiful and breathtaking. Thanks for sharing the inspiring aftereffects that are so "positive" in our eye's view, even though they come from a "negative" that could have been dangerous...
One of the reasons I love watching surf and waves and tide is because it reminds me of the raw power of that huge body of water. It can be so awesome and pleasurable for us to enjoy, and in a matter of moments it can literally destroy and take life.... wow...
    Loved visiting...It's beautiful.
    Hugs to you Lili.

  6. Beautiful!! But that one shot with people in it puts it in perspective. Very large boulders and such. Didn't look that imposing without the people.

  8. Beautiful shots, the rocky coastline and crashing waves! We didn't get anything, not even much rain or wind, but we do have amazing weather now! I was actually hoping for a little more wave action to open up our creek a little more. Mr. Tide always says I should be careful what I wish for!

  10. I remember
    the summers
    visiting my
    grandparents
    in Florida on
    the Gulf, right
    before a tropical
    storm was on
    the way....We
    thought it was
    very exciting!
    Grampa would let
    us take his metal
    detector down
    to the shore after
    the storm to look
    for treasures!
    And we loved the
    wild surf and how
    cozy everything
    felt inside. Of
    course, that is
    a child's view of
    what could be a
    disaster....But,
    sounds like you
    will be okay.
    Great pics, Lili!
    xx Suzanne

  15. Looks like you got some beautiful photo oportunities from the visiting storm - these pictures are amazing!

We just returned from our trip to Bermuda - and the seas were as calm as a farm pond - amazing! We had a fabulous time - (but I was hoping for a visit your way!)
