Blending In With Nature

Just before sunset last evening as we sat on a bench at the Village Green in Sorrento, we almost failed to notice we were not alone.

I was so happy he stuck around long enough for me to capture a shot of him in his natural environment.

Today we packed a picnic lunch and headed out in search of a quiet spot to once again commune with nature. It's always a good idea to pack a little snack to tide you over.

Just in case it takes a while to unpack the picnic basket and get things set up.

And it's always a nice gesture to share.

In case you notice any peanut lovers nearby.

Like, really nearby.

Just in case.

  4. Lili,
You have done it again. You are living proof that having your camera on your self gives opportunity to take gorgeous and inspiring pictures of life and all its beauty. I love to see your photos. Henri is so cooperative with you too as well as those cute little furry creatures...
Mr. Squirrel probably climbed back up the tree and told everybody he was famous...
    LOL!
Thanks for a neat and lovely post.

  6. Oh my goodness-I struck GOLD today when I found your blog, er uh, stumbled in a very lucky stumble.

I'll go back and read older posts now. We are Maine lovers too and are here from May until almost November. I cry when we arrive, I cry when we leave. Last night when the moon rose over the Pemaquid Peninsula, what else?, I cried. I am so happy here and so happy to find you.

I'm signing on as a follower NOW, so I don't lose you in the vast sea of bloggers.

    All joys to you,

    And your man....well,

  13. Oh what a great picture - a man and his squirrel! Funny thing is that they both have the same expression on their faces. :D

You make me realize how much I miss the east coast. I haven't been there for so long - there's a longing in my soul to see the Atlantic again soon - rugged coast and pebbled beaches, poking along in knee-high rubber boots and smelling the tangy scent of bayberry and sea water. My brother and his family just left for Newfoundland for a month. Oh, that I could have smuggled myself down in their luggage somewhere! I guess I'll just have to live vicariously through your beautiful photographs. :)

  16. It's really good to share! Because those little guys are sooo cute, that is until they think they have to pull out all the guns to get what they want! I once had a chipmunk try to take off with a whole can of peanuts while I was out hiking. I had sat the large can of peanuts on the rock, sealed shut, and went for a swim in the lake... only to look back to see my can of nuts being hauled off by one of those cute little buggers!
