Long Neck Treasures

What to do with all the beer bottle sea glass that is so commonly found along the shore.

Today I paired a few pieces with a small wired wreath form and some 24 gauge gold wire.

The wreath form was just 39 cents. A roll of gold wire is about $6.

When displayed near light, the beer bottle glass glows a beautiful amber color.

This could also be used as a wreath to hang in a sunny window.

Or a wild and crazy necklace for a dress form.

Just so the other ones have something fancy too, this one gets some faux peonies added to the neck.

And a disco pendant for this one.

Just so you know, I would not really wear a sea glass wreath around my neck, but it's the evening and my sea glass needed to be photographed in some light.

  1. Oh, of course not. I would NEVER wear a sea glass wreath around my neck either.

Ok, yes, yes I would. I would SO wear a sea glass wreath around my neck. It is so pretty.

Sorry, I have no class at all.

    Smiles,

  4. I think it's adorable and I am in love with pairing soft dreamy things with rustic, nature inspired things, so to me, your display on the dress form is perfect!

Oh and the fact that I am obsessed with sea glass might have something to do with it as well. ;)

  5. Gorgeous! I'm not a jewelry person..., but I've seen the seaglass you wrapped and hung on the chandelier..., that I want to do!

  6. I think I'd wear it! The colour is lovely with the light through it, and I like the intricate twists of the wire.

  9. Love the piece of sea glass that still looks like the neck of a beer bottle. Someone's lips were likely wrapped around it!!!! I'll bet some people would wear it, it's nice.....
