This one was right next to it.
The sight of these bottles were a reminder of my elusive quest to acquire the perfect dressmaker form. Just recently one literally walked by me and right out the door at one of the antique stores I stopped by. I had to actually suppress a scream because it was the most beautiful one I had ever seen, as it was being carried by a very lucky lady who had just snagged it from an aisle I was headed down. Unfortunately I didn't even have the presence of mind to snap a photo of it, but I did watch it being carried out of the shop and forever out of my life.
So for now, I'll just have to console myself with my miniature one.
Man, I hate it when that happens! I hope you find an even more perfect one and for less!
ReplyDeleteVery fancy perfume bottles, but what I love is the little idea you had to display your broaches. I'm going to to have to keep my out for something like that!
Hi Lili,
ReplyDeleteI would so like to get a dressmaker form for my sewing room . . and of course, I'm looking for an antique one. I'm sure you'll find one and probably for an unusually good price at that.
I am crying for you! Ahhhh those are the hard moments to live... May you find another one. If it's any consolation - I think the JP Gauthier perfumes smell TERRIBLE ;)
ReplyDeleteI try not to look at what others are carrying in thrift shops and antique stores - saves me hours of woe. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour miniature is darling - the perfume bottles - questionable. So what are your plans for the dress form when you find the perfect one?
oh i feel your pain! i've wanted an old dress form for the longest time, i think i might have let out a scream if i were you! susan
ReplyDeleteAww, another lovely dress form will come your way! And our closest mall is an hour away too!
